- Abstract:
- Acoustic emission detection can not only monitor and locate the damage of metal and non-metal materials, but also can be applied to composite materials such as concrete and rock. Typical applications for acoustic emission testing are the detection of pressure vessels, natural gas pipelines, etc. and other materials and equipment applications refer to pressure vessel testing standards. The damage of the aluminum plate and the composite plate studied in this paper is the impact type acoustic emission signal, and the diffraction time difference method is selected to locate the damage source. In order to verify the positioning effect of the acoustic emission instrument on the aluminum plate and the composite plate, the lead and tapping experiments were carried out. The experimental results show that the hyperbolic track intersection method can be used to detect the metal and non-metal materials. Positioning, the positioning accuracy of the metal aluminum plate material is better than the glass fiber reinforced composite material board.
